The event seeks to build a mutual understanding among people and their neighbors.

Raquel Salalia is the coordinator of the Festival of Cultures, who describes the event as a place to gather talented people from Yorkton and mingle with people from different cultures who have made Yorkton their home. “It is now very diverse. Yorkton, with its multiculturalism has become an adventure for people, who come across to enjoy the versatile food, delicacies, crafts and theatre.’’
The trend of live entertainment is here to stay because it helps in bringing together people of mutual interests, strengthens community and bring peace and harmony among communities.
