all fat bottom trivia "game show" powerpoint presentations are now only $14.99. hosting your own interactive trivia night has never been easier.
First thing to talk about is the fact that these trivia presentations fit for Microsoft Powerpoint or an equivalent such as Google Docs or LibreOffice, on Mac or on Windows. I've even hosted games from tablets and android phones. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 worked wonders. I haven't tried with the 4 yet, but I bet it's even better. Is there a Surface Pro 5 or are they just skipping this and going to the Surface Pro 6? I will work on these things and get back to you.
But that's not why I am here writing today. Today is about the new generation of Fat Bottom Trivia "Game Show" Presentations. First thing to note: all game shows are created in the .ppsx file format.
The .ppsx files are pretty much identical to the .pptx files, however when you open the files, they should immediately commence the presentation, as apposed to having to bypass the password input stage by hitting "read only". There will soon be further reading and progress on this, as a new FBT Template will be available for all premium members to create their own game presentations.
The other exciting news! "Anagrams" hits the Trivia Store.
This is perhaps the toughest game we've made yet. Though I can't say that for sure. It really depends on what you are good at in that department. If you know bands nicknames better than you can decipher word jumbles, then you would probably excel more on the "Nicknames" game.
But whatever you are best at, the music in this game is the best. lots of your favorite artists. In fact, because some of the word jumbles are so tough, the songs are maybe more popular, making them a little easier than they could possibly be.
That is a good reason why we should make a sequel to Anagrams, and you should one day soon expect Anagrams too which has even more eccentric names to pull out of the hat. And to show you all just how difficult trivia we can actually produce!
Thanks for stopping by, I want to just give you a couple more bonus tips of what to expect in the near future. For one, we are very excited about Twitch for gaming and look forward to our new Twitch Channel. Please stay tuned to hear more about that and be sure to join our newsletter.
Be sure to share any comments you have or experiences you've had at your own shows below. We are a community of entertainers trying to adapt to a constantly changing market course. What do you think people will take to next? Are there any games we haven't released yet that you think should already be there? We have already had more requests for Country music, so I think you should expect a few more games in that genre soon too.

Selecting the best party game
So you're planning a party. You got your food, your decor and your gift bags, but you don't want your guests to be bored! What do you do? You plan a game.
Music bingo is one of those games that take the best of the classic games and combine them with modern technology and recognizable songs to create a game everyone can engage with. The best part is that it can fit any party and any audience.
Say for instance your guests don't know each other that well. Selecting the right game and playing it the right way can immediately change that! Just sit your guests in small groups and let them play together!
Now what if bonding isn't the biggest issue and you want people to get competitive? Well that's what games like Girls vs Boys are for! Have fun seating them and dividing them into competing groups and keep count of the points they get.
The best game is always the game that have more recognizable songs for your audience. If you're hosting a younger group you can't go wrong with Videogames or games with modern songs such as The Year Was... 2001, 2009.
For adults you can't go wrong with games like The Year Was 1992, One Hit Wonders and Hair Bands. If your audience is quite experienced in Music Bingo, go with a game with a twist, such as Antonyms!
And we're sure absolutely everyone will love games like TV Shows, Movie Soundtracks, Body Parts and Zoo Rock, perfect for mixed groups and to just have them under your belt.
Be sure to check out our holiday themes, such as Halloween, Christmas and Mother's Day.
What should I pick as a prize?
You can go as cheap or as expensive as you want! Expensive prizes will definitely increase people's competitive instincts but cheap prizes can be quite creative and effective too! The best prizes are the ones that are attractive and linked to your theme.
Say you're organizing a Halloween party. You can get cheap grand prizes like a few good gift bags filled with candy or go a step further and put together some gift bags with scented spooky candles and creative mugs. Remember to make the best ones for the bingo winners!

Why is it important to read a crowd?
When it comes to entertaining, properly reading a crowd is key. You wouldn't entertain a crowd of elders the same way you'd do with a crowd of kids, would you?
Understanding their background, their knowledge and their interests is essential to determine how to keep them engaged.
All you need is to understand what makes them laugh. If you can get them laughing, you know you're on the right track.
How to read a crowd
There are several ways to read your crowd, the easiest one being simply asking to the person who invited you what type of crowd they're expecting. However you should never go blindly with their recommendation. They can fail to know them properly, other people can show up or you can discover an interesting area to exploit. After all, you're not the same with your boss as you are with your friends, are you? And you want them to feel like you're their funniest, most interesting friend.
Arrive early to the venue. Chat with people beforehand. Ask them probing questions to get to a feel of who they are and what they're expecting from the party. Identify the leaders of the group. That doesn't necessarily have to be their boss or the oldest person, they can be just the person that knows the most amount of people.
You can identify the leaders even as you get the party going. Once the people are starting to laugh, they'll look at the people they look up to the most. If you can identify them and make them laugh, you'll get the whole crowd laughing. Those are the people you want to bring up to the stage with you and interact with because they'll be both the most willing and the most interesting for the crowd to watch.
Once you've been doing this long enough you'll develop a sixth sense and what seemed hard before will be natural after.
Reading a crowd while you play Music Bingo
Let's put all into practice. Let's put you in the worst case scenario: You're late, you need to get the party going, you don't know the crowd at all and things need to start now. What do you do?
After a little bit of warm-up, you go right for a game. A game will get people interested and selecting the right one will not only entertain the crowd but give you a better understanding on where to take the party next. Now you don't take a super targeted Music Bingo game like "Golden Oldies" or "Video games". You take a game that has something for everyone, you take "Nicknames".
With songs from Adele and Christina Aguilera to The Beatles and Billy Joel, you're guaranteed to find something for everyone. Once you're playing, look at people's reactions. Which songs get the biggest laughs? How are they interacting with each other? Which songs do they sing along and which songs are the hardest to recognize?
Nicknames is one of the best starting Music Bingo games. Get it today!
