Company holiday parties in Calgary and Southern Alberta
Mobile event entertainers travel to your venue anywhere in Calgary and
Southern Alberta. That matters more here than in most markets: the good rooms in
December are booked months out, and a supplier who travels to you means you can
take the venue that is available rather than the venue that happens to have an
in-house setup.
Because the gear travels too, the room does not need to be an event space. A
restaurant back room, a community hall, an office floor with the desks pushed
back — the audio, screens and lights arrive with the host and are set up and
sound-checked hours before your guests do.
Booking timeline for a December event
Calgary's corporate December is compressed into about three weekends, and
entertainment books out before venues do. Enquiring in September or October is
comfortable. Enquiring at the end of November means choosing from what is left,
which in practice means a Tuesday.
A quote is free, and a date is held with a deposit. If your date is firm but
your details are not, book the date first — the format, the categories and the
running order can all be settled later, and none of them are the thing that runs
out.
What the evening looks like
Hosts arrive a few hours ahead to set up the full audio and visual rig and
run a sound check. Background music plays as your guests arrive, and the
cocktail hour or dinner can be DJ'd on request. If there are speeches, the PA is
yours — tell us in advance and the show is built around them.
Then the hosts pick up the microphones and run the games. Expect the room to
be pulled into it: bonus points for dancing, air guitars and singing along are
part of how these shows work.
Choosing your format
- Rock Jeopardy — the traditional big-screen game show,
built around musical artists. Six categories and a Final Jeopardy round, with
image and video clues in some categories. Christmas-themed categories are
available.
- Music Bingo — every guest gets a card and dobs off
answers as the songs play. The easiest format to join late and the best
choice for a large or mixed room, which is why it is consistently the most
requested.
- Fat Bottom Trivia — the pub-style trivia format, for a
crowd that wants to compete properly in teams.
Christmas-themed versions are available across all three, and custom
categories about your own company can be built into any of them.
Getting a quote
The quote form on this page asks for three things, and all three genuinely
change the recommendation: your guest count, your date, and who is actually in
the room. A staff party averaging 25 and one averaging 55 want different music,
and a group of 40 wants a different format from a group of 200.
Tell us all three and we will come back with an honest recommendation,
including when a smaller or cheaper option is the better fit for your night.
