3 Fun Games You Can Download and Play at a Valentine’s Day Party Including Music Playlists

2/4/2019

Written by Dusty Ramsbottom, February 4th, 2019

Valentine’s Day can either be a night to remember, or a complete pain in the kaboose. Well, I am here to tell you now, that IT CAN BE BOTH!
Picture
Ok, so for those of you reading this who do not really know what we do here, we create game’s nights that kooky entertainers like myself can download and use at parties, weekly trivia nights, or even big event productions. Some are “Team” games like Fat Bottom Trivia, or there are games that are more fun as individuals, such as Music dobOFF or Triv81.

Many of the games were written by myself personally, but some have been written by some of the other experienced hosts within our community. If you ever have suggestions for new games, or special requests, just let me know! -> dustin@fatcityentertainment.com

All the games have been tested in front of real audiences, and I know every game can be a great tool in your repertoire as an entertainer to create fun events, that people will remember and talk about for weeks after the fact. They are pretty much all family-friendly other than the slight innuendo here and there. In-yer-end-o.. Ha!
Picture
We now have games prepared for pretty much all the big holidays, and here are my top picks for Valentine’s Day this year!

Game #1 - The Opening Act, “Girls Vs Boys” Music Bingo

This is an easy way to get a crowd worked up early. Fun pump-up songs like “Girls” by the Beastie Boys, or “Boys” by Britney Spears. Well, just take a look below for the playlist on Spotify. Playlists are also available to follow on Amazon Prime and Apple Music.

Game #2 - Now Let’s Get Them On Their Feet, “Lust & Love” Game Show

Plug your computer into a big-screen, or even use Chromecast or Apple TV to mirror your screen, and you are ready for an interactive Jeopardy!-esque game show. Though these games are more interactive with extra side-games, and a final challenge. You’ll need Powerpoint or an equivalent to run the program.

(Check out Brian and Chris Jones from the Jones Zone Podcast host this game for their friends at Loom Coworking in Fort Mill, South Carolina)

Game #3 - Music Trivia Party - “Turnt Up”

If you want to take it up a notch, finish off with an all-music trivia game. Give bonus points to the teams with high energy, dancing and participation. These games are based on old-school entertaining we used to do at the bars with only 2 cd players and a wireless microphone. We’ve since cleaned up the format and added the questions and side-games on the big-screen. But a good host knows how to work a room with any tools at their disposal.

Don’t forget to follow the music playlist for this game.

Thanks for sticking through this read. If you want some more information on how to host your own kick-ass parties, here’s a secret code for a free download of the Host Handbook from the trivia store: host100

I like to give bonuses for those of us who focus and can see things through until the end. :)

Quick Tips on How to Make Your Bar and Restaurant More Revenue in 2019 and Save Money on Entertainment

1/19/2019

Picture
Anybody who has been in the bar industry long enough knows it takes some tricks to maximizing bar tabs which will in turn maximize tips and overall revenue. Those can be easy (upselling, promoting shifts). The real trick is to maximize revenue while minimizing costs. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that bar owners are spending WAY too much money on live entertainment. I was managing a beach bar in Southern California for years and day after day we are forking out hundreds if not thousands of dollars to bring in local bands. Add in the bands comp tabs, discounted food, is it really worth it? Is it paying off? I understand that maybe that's your shtick but for the rest of us where live music is a novelty or perhaps there just isn’t enough space in the venue, we need affordable alternatives.

Picture
There are lots of ways to cut costs around the bar but there’s no need to start seperating two ply into one ply just yet (for all you Dunder Mifflin fans out there). One of the quickest and cheapest ways of getting people in the door is trivia. It might sound simple but nowadays it's more popular than ever. Hosts are no longer that half-interested guy in the corner with a mic that sounds like an adult from Charlie Brown. People are teaming up all week long to find the best shows around, I have seen first hand the effects of a well put together trivia night and the volume of patrons it can attract. This, coupled with some drink specials and prize giveaways (you’d be surprised how many people will show up for free koozies) and you’re on your way to a full bar with an end of the night payout of less than 100 bucks.

4 Ways you can advertise and incentivise customers to come to your establishment, and be a part of your community.

Picture
  1. Discounts for players, i.e. if you’re playing on a team, 15% off apps
  2. $25 gift cards for next trivia night (keep them coming back)
  3. Offer a shot round, for example hand out shots and if they can guess the ingredients, extra points.
  4. Switch it up! Don’t keep everything the same, try something like "BODY PARTS"  - Music Bingo. It's not quite as racy as you think, its good for all ages. It's a different way to play trivia mixed with classic tunes/theme songs to engage the players while listening to fun music.

Picture

In every bar there is someone that is looking for a bit of fun & fast cash, start with offering $25 cash and a $25 bar tab for a few hours of work. That cook in the kitchen who is always singing and dancing or the barback that is overly friendly would be the perfect candidate to host. All you would have to do is buy some ready to go trivia games
and a mic and start promoting. There are tons of trivia groups for you to join on FB and reddit. Look up trivia groups in the area and start pushing your “Tricky Tuesday Trivia”. Everybody loves a good band but let’s remind people of how fun it is to get drunk and play games with your friends!

Thanks,
This is Aly! if you have any additional tips and tricks feel free to leave them in the comments! :)

How To Utilize Music Bingo Cards Or Game Show Presentations To Entertain Guests And Draw New Customers. Plus, An Example Of A Weekly Entertainment Budget Of Less Than $150.

1/12/2019

Picture
Hey trivia fans, music fans, fellow entrepreneurs, and entertainers!

I’ve spoken quite a bit in this blog about how to use music bingo cards and game show presentations easily by downloading and presenting in front of live audiences wherever and whenever you choose. Now I’d like to speak more about the strategy behind such and event, and some reasons why you might find that a games night might be right for your group.

Music Bingo & Game Show Trivia For Bars & Restaurant

Picture
My background is most prominently as a Restaurant Manager for a variety of different venues. One was a corporate franchise restaurant with over 70 locations across Canada. One a local’s type pool bar complete with foosball, darts, games, wing night, and the whole enchilada.

Another was a tiki-bar in Costa Rica straight out of the Tom Cruise movie “Cocktail”, with not-so-coincidental similarities. I fact, I spent 20 years in the Food & Beverage industry before I really separated and focuses mainly on the Entertainment aspects, which I have grown to love so dear.

The business strategies for each of these places were vastly different, but the one constant that travelled with me from location to location was a need for community, and a hole that could only be fed with Live Entertainment. My greatest moments at each of these venues was no doubt on nights when the ambiance was set perfectly, the kitchen staff were on their A-game, and the entertainment was running point.

These nights were the whole motivation behind creating an easy-to-use line of Music dobOFF bingo cards, and Fat Bottom Trivia download-and-present game shows.

There is more to successful entertainment than just having the right games on hand.

People like playing pool and darts. This doesn’t mean that buy purchasing and installing a dart board or pool table means you will undoubtedly become a success. You must create an flow for your customers to know about your new additions, know about it ahead of time, plan for it, and then enjoy it fully. Then you want to ensure the nest event is already planned out, so they can continue the flow right into the next night.

You don’t want to fatigue your guests either. Too many events of too much intensity will not be received as well with your loyal regulars, so spacing nights out appropriately can be important too.

Picture

Pillaring Your Week Of Entertainment And Food & Drink Specials

One of my favorite new projects when consulting a new entertainment venue is appropriately “pillaring” the week’s events. This may be a new concept for you, so if I don’t explain it well enough here, please leave a comment below, or even shoot me an email, and we can discuss it further, and use direct examples from your business. I’m always available for our readers at dustin@fatcityentertainment.com.

Example 1: (Low entertainment budget)

  • Monday - Weak Pillar
  • Tuesday - Strong Pillar
  • Wednesday - Weak Pillar
  • Thursday - Strong Pillar
  • Friday - Weak Pillar
  • Saturday - Strong Pillar
  • Sunday - Weak Pillar

This is a pretty basic style of entertainment pillaring with a budget that permits 3 nights of entertainment. You’ll notice that instead of going heavy on Thursday through Saturday, I have split the events up, and I’ll now explain a few of the reasons why…

First, customer fatigue. Give your regulars some time to decompress, and discuss the next event at the water cooler before shoving another event at them. Loyal customers want to be a part of all the major events, and there is no reason they would have to stay away on nights that nothing is happening in between. On the contrary, I believe you will find heightened sales on nights such as Wednesdays and Fridays between events as well, when guests come back to reminisce about past events, pick up leftover vehicles (don’t drink and drive, people), and come back for the food and drink specials they noticed when they were at your last show.

Example 2

Here, I’d like to actually use fun game examples to your weekly calendar that would work in almost any bar, restaurant, or other live entertainment venue. I’ll also add up the full expenses afterwards, but I will work with the assumption you are going to host the games yourself, or have one of your staff members host the games, that are already on paid salary. This will save you up to $300 per night in paying a local trivia company to host your games instead.

  • Monday - Mingo Night! Or Music Bingo, Music dobOFF, whatever you call it this is an easy addition. Let’s try one game at 6pm for the after work crowd, and another at 8pm to keep your dinner guests around for an extra drink or two.

Game 1: “Body Parts” ($9.99)
Game 2: “TV Theme Songs” ($9.99)
These games are both classics. They can probably be used once a month and people will still love them!

  • Tuesday - Your 2nd best food specials for the week
  • Wednesday - “Game Show Trivia Night” - General Knowledge trivia games on the big-screen. I recommend the store 5 Below to find inexpensive prizes ($5 or less), but that people still get interested over!

Game: Fat Bottom Trivia “Wild Wild West” ($24.99)

  • Thursday - Your #2 Drink Special (½ price wine night is still one of my favorites)
  • Friday - Your #1 food and drink Specials

This is a consistently overlooked error for many up-and-coming restaurants… They think “oh it’s Friday, people want to go out anyways, so let’s make the maximum amount per customer.

Unfortunately, this is a short-lived philosophy. People will get fatigued quickly by over-paying on Fridays. My motto is: “Give the people what they want!” They will respect you for it, and become loyal on other days of the week. There is plenty of competition in town. Give your #1 on Fridays when you have maximum exposure to clients.

  • Saturday - Music Trivia Game Show!

Game: Music Trivia Party - “Boy Bands & Divas” ($24.99)

  • Sunday - #3 food and drink specials (Do a brunch special if you have it! Get them in early…)

Ok, so considering you were already running these food & drink specials, the games themselves only add up to less than $70 for the week. This gives you plenty of room to buy prizes for the top teams at 5 Below. And remember, when you buy these games, you can definitely use them more than once! Come back to them in a few months, and your entertainment budget will be even less. Of course, we’ll have some new games out by then, that we’ve tested in front of real audiences, as we do for all our games :) And I’m sure you’ll love them too.

Thanks for listening! Please reach out and let me know what’s new in your area for entertainment, and how it’s working out with Music dobOFF bingo cards, and Fat Bottom Trivia!

5 Easy Ways To Entertain Your Friends Or Coworkers For The Christmas Holidays

12/22/2018

No clue how to entertain your friends or staff at your party, yet you want your get-together to be spoken of until New Year’s Eve? Want to impress that certain someone with your top-notch hosting skills? You will be the talk of the town if you follow these simple steps to party success!
Picture
Try These Ideas For Your Next Xmas Party:

1. Pick a Theme

Summon your inner grandma! Don ‘er (get it? Donner!) very best horny santa sweater. Instead of traditional ugly christmas sweaters, pick a theme. Memes/political/favorite tv show. Switch it up a bit! Remind everyone of Festivus for the rest of us! Or stir the pot by sporting a “Make Christmas Great Again” sweater.
Picture
2. Cut The Reservation Costs

Instead of having to prep your house just to make a mess of it, or spending too much money to rent event space at a hotel, make a reservation at your favorite bar/restaurant. More often than not they wont charge you to reserve the space, instead will have a tab minimum (which, lets face it, you and your drunk ass friends will be able to hit no problem). Be sure to order share plates and pitchers instead of individual meals to save a little extra dough.

Picture
3. Play Some Games!

Music Bingo Xmas edition is an easy, inexpensive and uber fun way to get everyone in your party involved. Who doesn’t want to get down with Wham! for a little holiday cheer? Not your style, no worries, Music Bingo Christmas has the hottest tunes from Ariana Grande to Frank Sinatra. There’s something for everybody. Bonus is, everybody already knows how to play bingo plus you get to listen to a variety of holiday tunes! Offer prizes such as shots/cookies/gift certificates, whichever fits into your price range.

Picture

4. Donate! Donate! Donate!
If your boyfriend/girlfriends friends haven’t quite accepted you to the group or are still trying to figure out what your deal is, show them how much you care by setting up a donation bin for those in need. Everybody has an extra sweater or jacket they will never wear again, make them feel good about themselves and keep the homeless a little toastier this winter by sending your warm clothes over to the Salvation Army or your favorite charitable organization.

 5. Create Christmas Cocktails

Whip up some liquid love such as spiked eggnog or a peppermint martini. There are endless recipes for christmas cocktails, step yours up by crushing up some candy canes, rimming a glass with simple syrup and making those drinks look fancy as f***. The difference between this and simply putting it in a mug, is if it looks nice, nobody will notice how badly you’ve (inevitably) messed it up.

No need to go over the top, a great christmas party needs just a few key tricks to stand out. Keep everyone entertained with interactive games and cocktails, do some good while looking good and support your local bars!

Merry Christmas from FatCityEntertainment.com Expect Many great things in ~~2019~~

One of the funniest Music dobOFF bingo games is available. “Body Parts” is friendly for all audiences and a great addition to any social event or private party.

12/20/2018

What can I say? This game should be a standard addition to all music bingo parties, especially for mixed crowds and first time players. It has quickly become one of my favorites to bring out, and it pretty much works everywhere, similar to Food Fight and Zoo Rock.
Picture
I have probably used this game over 20 times now, which is typically much more than necessary before launching a game, confident that it will be a good addition for other hosts, but it’s just so easy to break out! Especially in Bar & Restaurant gigs where you have transient guests that may have never tried a music bingo game before.

The mix of the generations really is a ton of fun, but the subtle jokes about different body parts really breaks the ice faster than other games. It is a family friendly game, but there are slightly risque jokes included too. The worst it gets is “My Ding-A-Ling” by Chuck Berry. So if you consider that offensive around children, I recommend skipping this one. But that joke is pretty mild compared to other innuendos seen in all ages movies such as Shrek or even most Disney movies nowadays.

Past that song, we hit pretty much all the limbs of the body, “With Arms Wide Open”! You’ll love transitioning from ZZ Top to Fitz and The Tantrums. You’ll be “Head Over Heels”, and dancing “Cheek to Cheek”. More puns?? Ok, if you get down “On Bended Knee” I will do a couple more. But I am sure some of you will be rolling your “Bette Davis Eyes” by the end of this…

If you are new to trivia hosting or music bingo hosting, you may be wondering about the technical aspects of things. Well, Fat City is here to help! In our first video, we showed you how to print quality music bingo cards at home, and now, we want to show you how to set up all that sound equipment. It can seem a lot trickier than it is, but this video tutorial will have you looking like a pro in no time.

There is a lot of equipment that goes into making a Fat City host's toolkit, and although some of it is based on personal preference, most of the items mentioned in this video are what a host needs to run a show with good sound quality.

Here's a list of all the equipment Dustin mentions in the video:
  • Amplifier
  • Speaker
  • Speaker Stand
  • Speaker Wire (male to male)
  • Roller Stand
  • Mic Stand
  • Microphone
  • Microphone Wire (XLR male to female)
  • Power Cord for Amplifier
  • Power Bar
  • Dance Light
  • Laptop or Ipad
  • Aux Cord
  • Buzzers
  • Masking Tape

Know an upcoming host that could use a little technical help? Share this tutorial and do your part to support live entertainment!

One Hit Wonders Is Ready to Hit The Trivia Store

6/6/2018

Get ready to mmmbop your way over to grab your copy on June 7th!

Are your ready for the next Music dobOFF set? It hits the store Thursday June 6th!
Fat City Entertainment loves a good game of music bingo, and people everywhere agree because it is one of the fastest growing entertainment choices of bars and restaurants. The game is so easy to get started, and who doesn’t love a good playlist?

For those of you who have never played music bingo before, let us give you a quick rundown on how the game works. Players are given printed bingo cards, but unlike those boring old traditional bingo cards that contain nothing but a bunch of numbers, the squares on music bingo cards are filled with song titles, music genres, or the names of music artists. The host then plays a couple minutes of a song, and all of the players have to match the song that is being played with one of the squares on their cards. Then it works out just like regular bingo: vertical, horizontal, diagonal, four corners, or black out!

Picture

Does it sound like fun to you?

Well, you aren’t wrong, because it is, tons of fun. Not only is it super fun, though, it can be super challenging as well! Many of the Music dobOFF cards we have created aren’t all that straightforward, and the clues can be a bit tricky. Players will have to use their music trivia skills if they wanna win...and of course they want to win.

The One Hit Wonders set includes all your favorite bands that hit it big...but only with just the one song. One Hit Wonders spans genres and decades bringing the chart topping music like Soft Cell’s Tainted Love or Who Let The Dogs Out by Baja Men. How many more hits do you think you can name? Enough to be the reigning music bingo champion?

Picture

These music bingo cards will be available for instant download in the trivia store on Thursday, June 7th, and you can follow the accompanying playlist on Spotify. Yep. We made it that easy. Whether you want a game to play at your next summer BBQ or you plan on hosting your own Music Bingo show, One Hit Wonders is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Psst! If you are local to the Charlotte Metro area, and want to play a round or two of Fat City’s Music dobOFF music bingo game, hit up one of our weekly shows. We have games going on Tuesdays at Duckworth’s in Uptown and The Casual Pint in Rivergate on Sundays each and every week!

If you aren’t local to the Charlotte area, you can download your own music bingo cards, and we can help you start your own show! Just drop us an email, and we will help you with all the tips and tricks we know!

19 Music Bingo Games Our Crowds Can't Get Enough Of

4/11/2018

Music bingo unites the music lovers and trivia buffs in one fun event, and our bingo hosts know how to keep the crowd entertained with tricky cards and amazing playlists. Check out this list of our crowd favorites!

via GIPHY

It is hard to pick our favorite music bingo playlist because they are all so much fun, but these nineteen bingo games seem to be a sure bet with the crowds. Go ahead, ask one of our music bingo hosts or our loyal game players! They'll tell you these games make for the best music bingo shows anywhere!

Picture

For The Older Crowd

  • Life's A Beach: Those California girls down in Margaritaville drinking the tequila with a lime in a coconut, am I right? Although not everything in this category is from way back when, it has enough golden oldies to keep the retired crew digging the vibe with artists like The Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet, and Don Henley on the list.
  • Golden Oldies: Speaking of golden oldies...yep, we've got a whole list dedicated to the classics. Bring on the classic entertainers like Elvis, Otis Redding, and good ol' Patsy Cline.
  • The 70's: A tumultuous decade that inspired artists to create some timeless tunes. This playlist includes songs from Joni Mitchell, Queen, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
  • The Beatles: A band so iconic they get a category unto themselves. No one will be able to resist singing along when you play the Fab Four's classic hits like Yellow Submarine, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and Blackbird.
Picture

Family Friendly Shows

  • Movie Soundtracks: These movie tunes span the decades which makes this the perfect game to play with a family crowd. Everyone knows which movie My Heart Will Go On comes from!
  • Disney: Got a lot of kiddos in the crowd? We've got a playlist for that too! Get the room excited when you hand out bingo cards full of Disney classics like Circle of Life, Under the Sea, and yes, even Let it Go!
  • TV Shows: Theme songs can be awesome (Fresh Prince of Bel Air), catchy (Scooby Doo), or down right iconic (Game of Thrones), but no matter the category, this game is perfect for the family team. It has a little something for each age group!
  • X-mas: Hey, everyone loves a good Christmas carol even in July. A holiday themed music bingo game with all your favorite tunes sang by all your favorite artists.
Picture

The Mixed Bag

  • Food Fight: At a new venue and you aren't sure about the vibe yet? Try a mixed, theme game! Different songs from different periods and genres, but they all have food in common! From a classic like Blueberry Hill to some gangsta rap by Snoop Dogg, everyone can play along.
  • Girls vs Boys: We got songs about girls like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and we got songs about boys like Boyz-n-the-Hood. Who will reign supreme?
  • Out of This World: Space the final frontier...of music bingo! We've got Space Cowboys, Star Wars, and Drops of Jupiter up in this theme. Far out, man.
  • One Hit Wonders: A classic music trivia category! Everyone knows these mega-hits, but do they know who sang them? Here's a freebie Tainted Love was a hit by a band called Soft Cell. You're welcome.
Picture

A Decade of Hits

  • And Then There Was Hair: Who doesn't love an old-fashioned rock ballad? The hair bands ruled the 80's, and we have an entire bingo card dedicated to those luscious locks. Poison, KISS, and Guns-n-Roses all have a square here.
  • Oh...the 90's: Was grunge the death of hair? The eternal debate! We aren't here to decide it though, we are just here to deliver these classic 90's hits from artists like Gin Blossoms, Beck, and No Doubt!
  • 2009 Billboard: Kanye's gonna let you finish, but first...here are the hits of the 09's! We've got Gaga, we've got Swift, and oh yes, we've got the man himself!
Picture

The Tough Stuff

  • Nicknames: Do you know the King of Pop? How about the Queen of Soul? Who is known as The Boss? This game isn't for the faint of heart! It can be a tough round, but the trivia fans will eat it up.
  • Countries: How many people know where their favorite artist hails from? This card names the country, you need to figure out the artist and where they come from. If we play Blissing Me, for instance, the player has to know the artist is Bjork AND know that she comes from Iceland. Not so easy is it?
  • Antonyms: Your clever players will love this one! The card may say something like "Stop You Down" which is the correct clue for Rolling Stones' Start Me Up! Can you figure them all out?
  • Anagrams: This is hands down our hardest game, and it is only recommended for your serious players as casual ones tend to get a bit frustrated. The answers are jumbled on the card into different words like Pearl Jam turns into Maple Jar. Whew. How'd we come up with this one?

There you have it folks! A collection of our music bingo crowd favorites in a tidy list just for you. Now to pick which game to play...

Host Your Own Show With A Music Bingo Membership!

3/28/2018

If you have been hanging around these pages for awhile, then you are probably aware about our love for all thing music bingo! If you haven’t been here before, then let us enlighten you! Music Bingo is basically THE CHOICE for entertainment in pubs and restaurants across the country. Game play is pretty similar to regular bingo, except players have to match up the song being played to one of the clues on their card. It is one part bingo, one part dance party, and two parts music trivia!

Sounds like a blast, right?

Trust us, it is. Here at Fat City Entertainment, we already host two weekly music bingo shows, and we are always answering questions from people wanting to host their own show.  So, because of all the buzz, we decided to create a Music Bingo Membership! Our membership will give you all the supplies you need to start your own show, no matter where you live. The bingo cards are available for instant download, and the bingo daubers are shipped right to your door. Boom. Music Bingo Show.

Picture

First of all, let’s talk about those cards. Your membership will include enough cards to play twelve different games. This variety will make it easy for you to set up a weekly or monthly show, repeat shows are the best way to keep the revenue flowing! The subjects and music genres vary so you can play to your crowd, whether young or old, with things like The Beatles, Hair Bands, Michael Jackson, and One Hit Wonders. Some of the cards are a little trickier than others so choose your games wisely! Worried about where you will find all that music? Don’t be! The cards come with an accompanying Spotify playlist to make it super easy for you to get started.

The rules of the game are super simple and easy to customize! Have your players get a tradition bingo (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal), or play games like 4 corners or double bingo. Have a playlist that you really love? Maximize the amount of songs you can hear by playing a full card blackout game!

Picture

Next let’s discuss your show! Music bingo is an easy show to host, much easier to get started than a trivia show or open mic night. A music bingo host can run a 2 hour show in just about any venue with minimal equipment to set up. Just bring along these bingo cards and daubers, the Spotify playlist, and an iPod or laptop. If you can plug into your venue’s sound system that is great, otherwise, you may need to bring your own speaker. We also suggest using a microphone for hosting, but it is not absolutely necessary especially if you know how to project your voice.

You can easily insert interactive bonus rounds or prizes in your game by making people sing or dance along to the music. Remember, you are the host! Make the show your own, and it will be that much more entertaining for your group!

Picture

Last, let’s get excited about the daubers! It may not seem like they are that big of a deal, and you can surely run your show with a box of crayons, but your players will find your show that much more memorable when you whip out these multi-colored daubers. It adds just that little bit of flair that pub game players love. It can give your show an edge over the competition, especially if you are competing with a lot of venues in your area.

Print your bingo sheets on colored paper to add even more fun, but just remember to make sure your print is legible and your daubers marks can be seen on whatever paper color you choose.

Do you need another reason to snag yourself a music bingo membership? Probably not, but we wanted to throw in one last incentive anyway. Lucky you. Use the discount code: MB3030 for an extra 30% off the listed price. Now that is a good deal.  Head over to the trivia store today and snag your music bingo membership before this limited time deal expires! (Coupon code is good for the next 30 days.)

So, hosts, what are you waiting for?  It’s time to play!

The people have spoken, and they want bingo...music bingo that is. Yep. Just in case you haven’t heard, let us tell you: music bingo is fast becoming the entertainment of choice at pubs, bars, and restaurants, and it is getting people in the doors every day of the week!

What is Music Bingo?

Music bingo is a super fun, fast-paced take on the traditional bingo game! Instead of getting lame cards with a bunch of numbers on them, the players are given cards that contain song titles, artist names, genres, or other music-related items.

Then, the bingo host plays short 15-20 second snippets of songs, and the players must match up those songs to the items on their bingo cards! Sounds way more exciting then listening to someone call out B-32 and O-17 for hours, right?

Picture
How does Music Bingo work?

Your music bingo event will go off without a hitch when you have a Fat City Entertainment host on the scene! Our hosts arrive at your venue with all the necessary tools to make your bingo night run smoothly, They bring the bingo cards, daubers, speakers, music, and fun.

The shows run for 2-3 hours with each round lasting about 30 minutes. To keep it fresh, the rules of each round vary, and can include traditional bingo games like four corners or less-traditional things like anagrams!

The host also changes up the playlists to keep the crowd from getting bored with the same old pop hits. Bingo songs can come from all music genres! We also like to throw a few curve balls with lists like Disney classics, Artists named Will, or famous trios.

Wanna Check Out a Show?

Are you thinking you might wanna give this whole music bingo thing a try, but you just want to see it in action first? Then let us cordially invite you to our Sunday night show at The Casual Pint!

How To Create An Awesome Music Bingo Party Event In 3 Easy Steps

9/28/2016

Here is complete instructions in how to create your own music trivia DJ night.

It's super easy to create and host for friends, family, co-workers, or even great for a bar event!

The great thing about a music bingo night is it can be casual or interactive, depending on how you want to host it.

And it is beyond easy to create. I'll tell you how!

Step 1: Print Off Bingo Sheets

Ok, maybe I got ahead of myself when I said it was free. But it's not far off. The first tiny expense is paper. I walked down to the UPS store and printed off 200 sheets (100 pages) for about ten bucks.

If you have your own printer, you are covered there.

Now, you can either use my sheets that I have made right here if you are beyond lazy..

Now Over 20 Different Games To Choose From.

Or be proactive and use our new card generator.

Step 2: DJ Music Playlist On Spotify On Shuffle

This is my favorite part. So easy, so simple, so good...

If you are using our sheets, you can simple play this playlist!

It's on shuffle so you don't even need a spotify subscription!

Am I the best or what??

Step 3: Pens are cheap, but 'dobbers' are better!

And actually, daubers are pretty cheap too!

When I ordered, they even gave me extra!

That's it. Easy. Fun. Interactive Entertainment.

Please comment below for bonus tips!

I want you all to know that we at Fat City are interested in creating awesome live events first and foremost.
